Thamizh is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Hari in his directorial debut. The film stars Prashanth as the titular character and Simran as his love interest, with Vadivelu, Nassar, Livingston, Urvashi, and Ashish Vidyarthi in supporting roles. The story follows a young man from a peaceful family who is forced into a violent gang war after his niece is injured by a local crime lord. The film was produced by Amudha Durairaj under Deivanai Movies and features music composed by Bharadwaj. Thamizh received positive reviews from critics for its strong storyline and engaging screenplay. Storyline
