• Soori was a struggling comedian when Soundararaja cast him in Sundarapandian (2012). That film put both of them on the map — Soori as a reliable comic sidekick, Soundararaja as a writer who could blend humour with mass heroism.
• In Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013), Soundararaja wrote Soori's lines as rapid-fire one-liners. Soori delivered them at double speed, forcing Soundararaja to rewrite entire scenes on set to match his rhythm. That back-and-forth became the film's comic engine.
• Their 2018 hit Kadai Kutty Singam directly inspired a wave of rural-comedy films in Tamil cinema. Producers started demanding 'a Soori-Soundararaja combo' for any village script — even though the two never officially announced a partnership.
