• Prabhu and Chinni Jayanth first shared screen space in 'Poovizhi Raja' (1988) because the director needed a comedian who could match Prabhu's deadpan timing. Chinni was fresh from TV, and Prabhu personally vouched for him after a single audition.
• In 'My Dear Marthandan' (1990), Prabhu deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery so Chinni's rapid-fire punchlines would land harder. Chinni later said Prabhu would pause mid-scene just to let him steal the laugh.
