• Rajpal Yadav was David Dhawan's secret weapon for physical comedy. In 'Partner' (2007), Dhawan would set up a scene, then just let Yadav loose — his timing was so sharp that Salman Khan once said on set that Yadav's reactions made him funnier too.
• David Dhawan first cast Rajpal Yadav in 'Shaadi No. 1' (2005) after seeing his chaotic energy in 'Hungama' (2003). Dhawan needed someone who could keep up with his fast-paced, slapstick style — and Yadav's ability to go from zero to hysterical in one cut sealed the deal.
• On the sets of 'Do Knot Disturb' (2009), Rajpal Yadav would often rewrite his own lines in Hindi street slang without telling Dhawan. The director loved it — he'd just let the camera roll and catch Yadav's improvisations, then build the edit around them.
