• Rajpal Yadav was cast in 'Paheli' (2005) because Amitabh Bachchan personally recommended him to director Amol Palekar after seeing his stage work. Bachchan told Palekar: 'This boy will steal every scene he's in.'
• In 'Waqt: The Race Against Time' (2005), Bachchan deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their shared scenes so Rajpal's rapid-fire comic timing would pop. Rajpal later said Bachchan would whisper 'take your time, I'll wait' before every take.
