• Dharmendra personally recommended Govinda for the lead in 'Dadagiri' (1987) after the original actor backed out. That film became their first hit together and launched their on-screen pairing.
• On the sets of 'Zulm Ki Hukumat' (1992), Govinda would often improvise comic lines mid-scene. Dharmendra, known for his timing, would pause and let him finish — then deliver a deadpan punchline that made the crew crack up. They built a rhythm where one set the pace and the other closed it.
