Trivia
- The film's director Bharat Rangachary was primarily known for his work in South Indian cinema, making this a rare Hindi directorial venture.
- It was one of several early 1990s action films where actor Dharmendra played a police officer, a role he frequently returned to in that era.
- The movie's title translates to 'The Rule of Tyranny', reflecting its theme of a common man fighting a powerful crime lord.
- Actress Farha Naaz, who played a key role, was the sister of popular 1990s star Tabu, though Tabu was more widely known.
- The soundtrack by music director Bappi Lahiri included a hit song 'Tumse Milne Ko Dil Karta Hai', sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik.
- Despite its action-packed story, the film did not achieve major box office success compared to other Dharmendra releases of the time.
- Parts of the film were shot in typical early 90s style, featuring dramatic slow-motion sequences during fight and emotional scenes.
