• Abbas-Mustan cast Bobby Deol in Soldier (1998) after seeing his raw intensity in Gupt. They needed a fresh action hero who could also dance — Bobby's audition for the title track sold them instantly.
• On the set of Ajnabee (2001), Abbas-Mustan realized Bobby was terrible at delivering cold, calculated dialogue. So they rewrote his villain role to be more impulsive and reactive — letting his natural energy drive the menace instead of rehearsed lines.
• Humraaz (2002) directly inspired the 2004 Hollywood film 'The Perfect Score' — the heist-on-a-test premise was lifted so closely that Abbas-Mustan considered legal action. That film exists only because of this collaboration.
