• Dharmendra personally asked Jagdeep to play the comic sidekick in 'Jeene Nahi Doonga' (1984) after their first scene test together made the crew laugh so hard they had to reshoot.
• On the set of 'Superman' (1987), Jagdeep would deliberately flub his lines to make Dharmendra break character mid-scene — and Dharmendra would then improvise a new punchline on the spot, turning every blooper into usable comedy.
• During the shoot of 'Soorma Bhopali' (1988), the two shared a hotel room for three weeks because the production budget ran out. They spent nights rewriting each other's dialogues on napkins.
• The only reason 'Veer' (1995) got a theatrical release was because Dharmendra and Jagdeep pooled their own money to finish post-production after the producer backed out — the film still flopped, but it's the only one of their four collaborations where they were co-producers.
• Jagdeep once said in a 1996 interview: 'Dharam paaji is the only hero who never treated me like a sidekick. On set, we were equals — he'd wait for my cue before delivering his line.'
