Trivia

  • The film's title 'Aankhen' was also the title of a 1968 film starring Dharmendra, but the two movies have no connection.
  • This was one of the few films where Govinda and Chunky Pandey played brothers, a pairing not commonly seen in the 90s.
  • A key plot point involves a political assassination, which mirrored real-life anxieties in India during the early 1990s.
  • Director David Dhawan and Govinda began their famous comedy partnership with this film, making it a career milestone.
  • The movie featured a special appearance by veteran actor Kader Khan, who also contributed to the dialogues.
  • Despite being an action-comedy, the film's soundtrack by Bappi Lahiri included a popular romantic song, 'Gore Gore Mukhde Pe'.
  • The film's climax was shot in a palace setting, a common but expensive trope for masala films of that era.
