• Dharmendra personally asked Raza Murad to play the villain in Jeene Nahi Doonga (1984) after their first meeting on set. Murad later said he was nervous acting opposite a legend, but Dharmendra broke the ice by cracking a joke about his own hair.
• In Virodhi (1992), Dharmendra deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their confrontation scene so Raza Murad's theatrical pauses wouldn't look awkward. Murad later admitted that gesture saved the scene from becoming a comedy.
• During the shoot of Fauji (1995), Dharmendra would invite Raza Murad to his vanity van every morning for chai. They never discussed scripts — just talked about old Punjabi films and Murad's father's poetry.
