Anand(1987)
Anand is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by Sivaji Productions. The film stars Prabhu as Anand, Radha as Latha, and Jayashree as Geetha. It is a remake of the 1987 Telugu film Majnu. The story follows a wealthy young man who hides a fatal brain tumor from the woman he loves. The film features music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics by Gangai Amaran. Lata Mangeshkar sang for this film without remuneration out of respect for Sivaji Ganesan. The song 'I Want To Tell You Something' is notable for having an English chorus. The film received mixed reviews but was praised for its music and Radha's performance. It was released on 20 November 1987.
