Ore Ratham(1987)
Ore Raththam is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by K. Sornam. The ensemble cast includes Karthik, Pandiyan, Radha Ravi, Kishmu, M. K. Stalin, Seetha, and Madhuri. The story follows two brothers, Magesh and Ponnan, who fight against caste discrimination in a village controlled by a rigid religionist. The film is based on M. Karunanidhi's novel serialised in the magazine 'Kungumam'. It marks the cinematic acting debut of M. K. Stalin, who later became Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The film was released on 8 May 1987.

Storyline
Two brothers, Magesh and Ponnan, love each other deeply. But their village is ruled by a cruel religionist who enforces strict caste rules. Ponnan is treated as low caste. He cannot enter the temple. Magesh decides to fight the system. Together with an educated outsider, they challenge the old beliefs and demand equality for everyone.
