Naan Sigappu Manithan is a 1985 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar. The film stars Rajinikanth, K. Bhagyaraj, and Ambika, with a young Vijay appearing as a child artist. The story follows Professor Vijay, a Tamil lecturer who turns into a masked vigilante after criminals murder his mother and drive his sister to suicide. He becomes known as Robin Hood as he cleans up the neighborhood of liquor trade and prostitution. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Aaj Ki Awaaz and was produced by A. Poorna Chandra Rao under Lakshmi Productions. Music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja, with cinematography by M. Kesavan and editing by P. R. Gautham Raju. Released on 12 April 1985, the film was a box office success and received praise for its performances and emotional courtroom climax.

Storyline
Professor Vijay leads a quiet life with his mother and sister. When corrupt criminals kill his family and the police refuse to act, Vijay becomes a masked vigilante. He hunts down the thugs at night, earning the name Robin Hood. But his actions force him to face the law and his own conscience.
