Poovilangu is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Ameerjan. The film stars Murali and Kuyili in her acting debut, with Poovilangu Mohan in a supporting role. The story follows Pandiyan, a carefree college student, who falls in love with Saraswati, a shy girl from a strict family. Their relationship faces obstacles due to Saraswati's controlling father and their inability to communicate openly. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Prema Parva (1983). It features music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with lyrics by Vairamuthu. Poovilangu received positive reviews for its character development and screenplay. The film was released on 23 March 1984.
