Thavani Kanavugal (transl. Sweet Dreams) is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language drama film written, directed, and produced by K. Bhagyaraj. The film stars Bhagyaraj, Radhika, and Sivaji Ganesan in lead roles. It follows Subramani, an unemployed economics graduate, who struggles to support his five sisters and find work. The story explores themes of poverty, sacrifice, and the kindness of strangers. The film features a guest appearance by director Bharathiraja. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack. Despite a poor box-office performance, the film is remembered for its emotional depth and Sivaji Ganesan's performance. It was released on 14 September 1984.

Storyline
Subramani is a gold medalist in economics but cannot find a job. He has five sisters to support and no money. He moves to Madras to chase his dreams. There, he faces rejection, failure, and poverty. But a retired army captain secretly sacrifices everything to help him.
