Then Sindhudhe Vaanam is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Ra. Sankaran. It stars Sivakumar, Kamal Haasan, Jayachitra, and Rani Chandra in lead roles. The story follows Raja, a young man from a modest background, who fights to marry Lalli against the wishes of her wealthy father and a strict hostel warden. The film is a remake of the 1973 Malayalam film Ladies Hostel. It was released on 11 April 1975, coinciding with the Tamil New Year festival Puthandu. The music was composed by V. Kumar, with lyrics by Vaali, and features Ilaiyaraaja as a session guitarist on one track.
