Trivia
- The film's director T. R. Sundaram was also the founder of the famous production company Modern Theatres.
- The movie is a Tamil remake of the 1965 Hindi film 'CID 909', which itself was inspired by the James Bond film 'From Russia with Love'.
- Actor Thengai Srinivasan, who played the assistant Raju, was primarily known as a comedian but took on a more serious supporting role here.
- The film features an early example of a suicide bomber plot in Indian cinema, which was a rare and bold theme for its time.
- It was shot in the scenic Nilgiri hills, with the hill station setting adding a distinct visual appeal to the crime drama.
- The movie includes a song filmed at the popular Ooty Botanical Gardens, a common location for Tamil films of that era.
- Despite its dramatic plot, the film did not achieve major commercial success and remains a lesser-known work from its director.
