Veettuku Veedu(1970)
Veettuku Veedu is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by C. V. Rajendran and written by Chithralaya Gopu. It stars Jaishankar, Lakshmi, R. Muthuraman, Vennira Aadai Nirmala, and Nagesh. The story follows a young couple who move into a rented house and get entangled in a web of lies to help a friend claim an inheritance. The film is based on Gopu's Tamil play Thikku Theriyatha Veettil, which was adapted from the English play Right Bed Wrong Husband. It was released on 29 May 1970 and received positive reviews for its cast and brisk direction. The film was later remade in Kannada as Galate Samsara in 1977.

Storyline
Vasudevan marries Malathy against his strict father's wishes. They rent a room in a house owned by Kala, whose husband Balu is abusive and unfaithful. When Balu's uncle dies and leaves an inheritance, Malathy forces Vasu to pretend to be Kala's husband to claim the money.
