Bama Vijayam is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by K. Balachander. The ensemble cast includes Sowcar Janaki, Rajasree, Kanchana, Jayanthi, Sachu, R. Muthuraman, Nagesh, Major Sundarrajan, Srikanth, and T. S. Balaiah. The story follows a middle-class joint family whose three daughters-in-law go to absurd lengths to impress a famous actress who becomes their neighbour. The film satirises false prestige and living beyond one's means. It won the Chennai Film Fans' Association Award for Best Film. Bama Vijayam was released on 24 February 1967 and was simultaneously filmed in Telugu as Bhale Kodallu.

Storyline
A strict father runs a happy joint family with his three sons and their wives. Everything changes when a glamorous film actress moves into the bungalow next door. The three daughters-in-law become obsessed with impressing her and start lying, borrowing money, and buying things they cannot afford. Their silly plans threaten to destroy the family's peace.
