Trivia

  • The film's title 'Om Namo Venkatesaya' is a sacred chant dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, commonly recited by devotees.
  • Director K. Raghavendra Rao is known for many devotional films, but this was his first movie focused solely on the Tirumala temple.
  • Actor Nagarjuna, who played the lead role of Hathiram Bhavaji, reportedly visited Tirumala multiple times to prepare for his character.
  • Parts of the movie were actually filmed in and around the real Tirumala temple with special permission from the temple trust.
  • The story is based on the legendary life of Hathiram Bhavaji, a 19th-century saint and devotee of Lord Venkateswara.
  • The film's soundtrack, composed by M. M. Keeravani, includes traditional Carnatic music elements to match the devotional theme.
  • Despite its spiritual subject, the movie faced some criticism for blending historical facts with cinematic dramatization.
