Neranja Manasu is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by P. Samuthirakani. The film stars Vijayakanth as Ayyanar, a kind-hearted village leader, alongside newcomer Susan and Mahima. The story follows Ayyanar's fight against corruption and violence in the lawless village of Suryakudi in Madurai district. Sampath Raj appears in his first acting role, playing two characters: the father Irulaiah and the son Sivanandi. The music was composed by Karthik Raja. The film was shot primarily in Kadappadi, a village near Pollachi. It was released on 11 November 2004 during Diwali but did not perform well commercially.
