Paarai(2003)
Paarai is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film stars R. Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Meena, and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. It is a remake of the Malayalam film Mahayanam. The story follows Durai, a lonely lorry driver who moves to a village after his friend's death to build a house for the friend's family. There, he confronts a cruel landlord who exploits poor villagers. The film was praised for its strong character development, emotional depth, and Sarathkumar's powerful performance. Music was composed by Sabesh–Murali with lyrics by Vairamuthu. Paarai was released on 13 June 2003.
