• FEFSI Vijayan was a stunt choreographer before he turned director. K. S. Ravikumar trusted him to direct Villain (2002) after seeing his action blocks — but the film's script was actually co-written by Ravikumar himself, making this a rare case where the actor helped shape the director's debut.
• On the sets of Paarai (2003), Ravikumar would often step in to calm down the crew when Vijayan got too intense with his shot planning. Vijayan later admitted that Ravikumar's patience taught him how to handle actors without shouting — a lesson he carried into his later films.
• Aadhavan (2009) was the first Tamil film where Ravikumar played a full-length negative role. That performance directly led to him being cast as the villain in the 2010 blockbuster Singam — a role that redefined his career as a character actor.
