
Virumbugiren(2002)
Virumbugiren is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Susi Ganeshan. The film stars Prashanth as Sivan and Sneha as Thavamani, with Easwari Rao, Nassar, Livingston, and Sriman in supporting roles. The story follows Sivan, an aspiring designer forced to become a firefighter after his father's death, who falls in love with a village girl named Thavamani. Her father and the entire village oppose their relationship, leading to a conflict between love and tradition. The film is based on real events from the director's native village and adapted from his novel Vakkappatta Bhoomi. It won four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress. The music was composed by Deva with lyrics by Vairamuthu. The film released in December 2002 after production delays.

Storyline
