→Trivia
- The film's title 'Ayudha Poojai' refers to a Hindu festival where tools and weapons are worshipped, which ties into the protagonist's journey.
- This was one of the few films where comedian Goundamani played a supportive, non-comedic friend to the lead character Arjun.
- Director C. Sivakumar is the son of veteran Tamil director C.V. Sridhar, making this a second-generation directorial venture.
- Actress Roja, who played Sindhamani, was a popular Telugu actress making a crossover, and her dance number 'Kadhal Vandhachu' became a hit.
- The film's climax and theme of a common man fighting corruption resonated with audiences during the mid-90s political climate in Tamil Nadu.
- Veteran actor Thilakan, who played the antagonist, was primarily known for Malayalam cinema, making his role here a notable Tamil appearance.
- The movie featured a cameo by actor-director R. Parthiban in a brief role, though he was not prominently credited in the cast.
