Chembaruthi is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language teen romantic drama film written and directed by R. K. Selvamani. It stars Prashanth and Roja in lead roles, with Bhanumathi, Nassar, Radha Ravi, and Mansoor Ali Khan in supporting roles. The story follows Raja, a wealthy London-raised young man, who falls in love with Chembaruthi, a poor fisherman's sister working as a maid in his grandmother's house. Their romance faces fierce opposition from Raja's grandmother, who wants him to marry a rich girl for business ties. The film is notable for its hit soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja, who completed the score in just 40 minutes. It was a major box office success and was remade in Hindi as Aao Pyaar Karen in 1994. The film was released on 17 April 1992.

Storyline
