Gabbar Singh is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Harish Shankar. It stars Pawan Kalyan as the titular character and Shruti Haasan as the female lead. The plot follows Venkataratnam Naidu, a police officer who adopts the name Gabbar Singh after a film character, as he battles a local thug with political ambitions in a village. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Dabangg and was praised for Pawan Kalyan's charismatic performance. It grossed over ₹100 crore worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of its time. The film was released on May 11, 2012, and won several awards including Filmfare and SIIMA awards.

Storyline
