Vasantham(2003)
Vasantham is a 2003 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by Vikraman. The film stars Venkatesh, Aarti Agarwal, and Kalyani in lead roles. The story follows Ashok, a cricketer, and his childhood friend Julie, whose bond is tested when Ashok is selected for the Indian cricket team over Julie's fiancé Michael. Michael's father forces Ashok to choose between his dream and his friendship. The film explores themes of sacrifice, loyalty, and platonic friendship. It won two Nandi Awards, including the Special Jury Award for Best Film. Vasantham was released simultaneously with its Tamil version, Priyamaana Thozhi. The music was composed by S. A. Rajkumar.

Storyline
Ashok and Julie have been best friends since childhood. Ashok marries Nandini, and Julie falls in love with Michael, a fellow cricketer. When Ashok is selected for the Indian team over Michael, Michael's father forces Ashok to give up his spot and end his friendship with Julie. Ashok agrees to the deal to ensure Julie's happiness, but his sacrifice threatens to tear their bond apart.
