Bobbili Raja is a 1990 Indian Telugu-language romantic action film co-written and directed by B. Gopal. It stars Venkatesh and Divya Bharti in her Telugu debut, with Vanisri, Kota Srinivasa Rao, and Satyanarayana in supporting roles. The story follows Raja, a young man raised in a forest, who falls in love with Rani, the daughter of a powerful politician. Their romance is complicated by a 25-year-old family feud involving a false murder accusation and political betrayal. The film is known for its blend of romance, action, and family drama set against a forest backdrop. Ilaiyaraaja's soundtrack became highly popular, earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director – Telugu. Bobbili Raja was a major box office success, running for 175 days in three centers and becoming Venkatesh's first silver-jubilee hit. Storyline
Raja has lived his whole life in the jungle with his mother and grandfather. When Rani, a rich city girl, visits the forest, they fall in love. But Rani's mother is the politician who destroyed Raja's family years ago. Raja must clear his mother's name and win Rani's hand against all odds.
