• Brahmanandam was still a rising comedian when B. Gopal cast him in Lorry Driver (1990). That film was their first together, and Gopal gave Brahmanandam a role that let him steal scenes from the hero — a move that made other directors take notice of Brahmanandam's comic timing.
• In Palnati Brahmanayudu (2003), B. Gopal let Brahmanandam improvise entire stretches of dialogue. Brahmanandam would riff on set, and Gopal would keep the camera rolling. That film's comedy track — where Brahmanandam plays a bumbling sidekick — is still quoted in Andhra tea stalls.
• Their 1993 film Mechanic Alludu was one of the earliest Telugu movies where Brahmanandam got a dedicated comedy subplot that ran parallel to the hero's story. That structure — a full comic B-plot — became a template for dozens of mass entertainers in the 1990s.

• Brahmanandam once told a Telugu news channel: 'B. Gopal garu gave me the freedom to be stupid on screen. He never said 'idi ekkuva' (this is too much). He just laughed and said 'inko take' (one more take).'
• In Maska (2009), B. Gopal deliberately paired Brahmanandam with younger comedians like Ali and Sunil. He told Brahmanandam to lead the scenes and set the rhythm. That film's comedy track became a masterclass in how a senior comedian can elevate an entire ensemble without stealing focus.
