• Brahmanandam was still a relatively new face in 1992 when director A. Kodandarami Reddy cast him opposite Venkatesh in Chanti. That film's success made Brahmanandam a regular in Venkatesh's movies for the rest of the decade.
• In Chanti, Brahmanandam played a sidekick who constantly gets Venkatesh into trouble with his lies. Venkatesh would react with exaggerated frustration, and Brahmanandam would double down — that push-and-pull rhythm became their signature in all four films.
• Venkatesh and Brahmanandam never hung out outside sets. But on every film, Brahmanandam would show up early just to watch Venkatesh rehearse his emotional scenes — he said it helped him time his comedy beats better.
• Brahmanandam once said in an interview: 'Venkatesh has the patience of a saint. I could throw any dialogue at him, and he'd just stand there and let me finish. That's why our scenes worked.'
