• Dharmavarapu Subramanyam was the one who suggested Sunil for the role of the comedic sidekick in 'Sontham' (2002). Sunil was still finding his footing, and that film became his breakout as a comedian.
• In 'Manmadhudu' (2002), Dharmavarapu wrote most of his own dialogue on set, and Sunil would feed him punchlines in real-time. They built a rhythm where Sunil set up the joke and Dharmavarapu delivered the kill shot.
