• Vivek was a struggling comedian when Kushboo specifically requested him for Viralukketha Veekkam (1999). She had seen his stage work and told the director she wouldn't do the film without him in a key supporting role.
• In Koodi Vazhndhal Kodi Nanmai (2000), Kushboo deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery to match Vivek's rhythm. She later said she learned comic timing by watching him pause mid-sentence.
• During the shoot of Unnai Kann Theduthey (2000), Vivek and Kushboo would rehearse their scenes in a parked car between takes. They never told the director they were rewriting half the dialogue on the spot.
• The success of their three-film run directly led to Kushboo producing a stage show called 'Comedy Carnival' in 2001, where she insisted Vivek be the headliner. That show launched his solo stand-up career.
