The story follows two sisters who seek revenge on a wealthy businessman by romancing his two sons. The film is a remake of the 1974 Tamil film Engamma Sapatham. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music, marking his 700th film as a composer. Critics praised the film for its comedic timing and the director's ability to keep audiences laughing throughout.
