• Vivek was already a popular comedian when he recommended Napoleon for the lead role in 'Enga Muthalali' (1993). The director took his word and cast Napoleon — that film became their first pairing.
• In 'Thenkasi Pattanam' (2002), Vivek’s rapid-fire one-liners forced Napoleon to slow down his delivery. Napoleon later said he had to match Vivek’s rhythm by pausing mid-sentence — a trick he never used with any other co-star.
• During the shoot of 'Sandai' (2008), Vivek and Napoleon shared a room in a small lodge near Tenkasi. They would rehearse scenes at 5 AM every day, and Napoleon would make coffee for both of them — a ritual they kept for all four films.
• Their comedy track in 'Thenkasi Pattanam' (2002) — where Vivek plays a fake astrologer and Napoleon a gullible villager — was directly copied by a 2005 Telugu film 'Soggadu'. The Telugu team admitted they lifted the entire scene.
