• Nayantara was just 20 and fresh off her Malayalam debut when she was cast opposite Prabhu in Chandramukhi. She later admitted she was terrified of acting opposite a legend — so Prabhu deliberately cracked jokes between takes to calm her down.
• In Billa (2007), Prabhu played the stern police officer to Nayantara's glamorous gangster's moll. Their scenes together had zero physical intimacy — but the tension came from how he stared her down and she stared right back. That push-pull made the cat-and-mouse work.
• During Viswasam (2019) shoot in Kerala, Nayantara's car broke down on a remote highway at 2 AM. Prabhu, who was already at the hotel, drove 40 minutes back to pick her up himself. She later called him 'the most protective co-star I've ever had' in a behind-the-scenes interview.
• Their pairing in Chandramukhi (2005) was so beloved that director P. Vasu wrote a whole new subplot for them in the film's Telugu dub — adding extra scenes where Nayantara's character nurses Prabhu's back to health. Those scenes don't exist in the Tamil original.
• Nayantara once said about Prabhu: 'He never treated me like a newcomer. He'd say, 'You're the hero here, I'm just the support.' That confidence he gave me — I carried it to every film after.' — from a 2019 pre-release interview for Viswasam.
• In Viswasam (2019), Prabhu played the villain — a cold-blooded land grabber. Nayantara played his wife. The director made them rehearse their confrontation scene 14 times because Prabhu kept breaking character. He couldn't stay angry at her face, he said. They finally shot it with him looking at the floor.
