• Kushboo was the bigger star when they first paired up for Dharma Seelan (1993). Napoleon was still finding his footing. She reportedly told the director she'd do the film only if he got a co-star who could keep up — Napoleon got the nod after a screen test that impressed her.
• In Maravan (1993), Napoleon played a rugged village strongman while Kushboo played his fiery love interest. Their scenes worked because she set the emotional pace — she'd slow down her dialogue delivery to match his raw, deliberate style, making their arguments feel real and lived-in.
• Their 1995 film En Pondatti Nallava was a sleeper hit that directly inspired the template for mid-90s Tamil domestic comedies. Years later, director K. S. Ravikumar admitted he rewatched it before making his own family entertainer Muthu (1995) — which became Rajinikanth's biggest hit at the time.

• Their last film together, Karisakattu Poove (2000), was a box office disaster. But it accidentally launched a trend: the film's soundtrack, composed by Deva, became a massive hit on FM radio.
