• Prabhu Deva didn't just direct Sonu Sood in 'Action Jackson' (2014) — he cast him as the villain because Sonu had personally begged him for a role after their first film together. Sonu later said he called Prabhu Deva every week for months until he got the part.
• In 'R... Rajkumar' (2013), Prabhu Deva choreographed Sonu Sood's fight scenes himself. He made Sonu move like a dancer — wide stances, sharp turns, rhythmic punches — because Prabhu believed a villain should be 'beautiful to watch' even when getting beaten up.

• In 'Devi 2' (2019), Prabhu Deva insisted Sonu Sood improvise all his dialogue in Tamil — even though Sonu barely spoke the language. Prabhu would whisper the lines phonetically, and Sonu would deliver them with such conviction that Tamil audiences thought he was a native speaker. The scene where he argues with a ghost was entirely improvised.
