• Chinni Jayanth was a popular comedian when he decided to turn director for Mayabazar (1995). He didn't just cast Keyaar — he wrote the lead role specifically for him, betting his own directorial debut on a relatively new face.
• On the set of Irattai Roja (1996), Chinni Jayanth let Keyaar improvise most of his comic timing. Keyaar would try three or four different deliveries for the same line, and Jayanth would pick the wildest take. That film's slapstick rhythm is entirely Keyaar's invention.
• Dancer (2005) was the only film where Chinni Jayanth acted under Keyaar's direction. It flopped hard, and they never worked together again. That single failure ended a decade-long creative partnership.
