• Raghuvaran was initially hesitant to play the villain in Manithan (1987) because he thought the role was too one-dimensional. Srividya, who played the female lead, personally convinced him to take it, arguing that his presence would elevate the film. He signed the next day.
• In Konjum Kili (1993), Srividya deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery in every scene with Raghuvaran. She knew he had a naturally brooding, measured style. By matching his rhythm, she created a tense, simmering energy that made their arguments feel real — not theatrical.
• During the shoot of Paasamalargal (1994), Raghuvaran would drive Srividya home every night after pack-up. They lived in opposite directions. He never explained why. She later said in an interview that he just 'didn't want her waiting for a cab alone.'
• Srividya once said about Raghuvaran: 'He was the only co-star who never once asked me for my opinion on his performance. He just did his job and trusted me to do mine. That silence was the highest respect.'
• The success of Manithan (1987) directly led to director M. A. Kaja casting both of them again in Konjum Kili (1993). Kaja said he wrote the female lead specifically for Srividya because he wanted 'the same quiet intensity' she had opposite Raghuvaran in their first film.
