• Nizhalgal Ravi and Sriman first shared screen space in Nenjinile (1999) because director S. A. Chandrasekhar deliberately paired them as contrasting brothers — Ravi the stoic elder, Sriman the impulsive younger. Ravi later said Chandrasekhar wanted actors who could 'fight without shouting'.
• In Thavasi (2001), Ravi played the calm, morally rigid elder brother while Sriman played the hot-headed one who learns a lesson. The entire emotional arc of the film rests on Sriman's character breaking down in front of Ravi — and Ravi's silent reaction. That scene is the only reason the film is remembered.
• After Thavasi flopped, both actors went years without a single call or meeting. They reconnected only in 2024 when a mutual friend brought them together for Baby & Baby (2025). Sriman admitted in a pre-release interview that he 'didn't even have Ravi's number anymore'.
• Sriman said about Ravi during Baby & Baby promotions: 'He is the only co-star who can make me feel like a child even now. One look from him and I forget my lines.'
• Their first film Nenjinile (1999) was the debut of composer Harris Jayaraj. The soundtrack became a cult hit — and Harris later credited the film's emotional brotherhood scenes for inspiring his melody-driven style. None of that happens if Ravi and Sriman don't sell those scenes.
