• Bhanupriya was a huge star in Telugu and Tamil cinema when she entered Bollywood. Jeetendra personally requested her for 'Dosti Dushmani' (1986) because he wanted a co-star who could match his energy in action sequences — she had already done her own stunts down South.
• On the sets of 'Khudgarz' (1987), Jeetendra would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery so Bhanupriya's Hindi (which she was still learning) could keep up. She later said he never made her feel rushed or embarrassed — he just adjusted his rhythm to hers.
• Bhanupriya and Jeetendra shot 'Tamacha' (1988) in Ooty during a brutal cold wave. Between takes, Jeetendra would make her chai from a flask he carried — he did this for every single day of the shoot, even when his own scenes were done.
• Their pairing in 'Zahreelay' (1990) was the last time Jeetendra played a romantic lead opposite a South Indian actress in a mainstream Hindi film. After this, the trend of pairing aging Bollywood heroes with younger Southern heroines faded for nearly a decade.
• Bhanupriya once told an interviewer: 'Jeetendra ji was the only hero who never once asked me to wear a shorter skirt or a more revealing blouse. He treated me like a co-star, not a prop.'
• In 'Mar Mitenge' (1988), Bhanupriya choreographed her own fight sequence because the action director's moves felt too 'filmy'. Jeetendra watched her demo, then asked the director to let her stage his fight scene too. That film's climax fight was entirely her design.
