• Nassar and Jagan first shared screen space in Idhaya Thirudan (2006), but the pairing almost didn't happen — Jagan was a last-minute replacement after the original actor dropped out. Nassar later said he was skeptical until the first rehearsal.
• In Kavan (2017), Nassar played the villain and Jagan played his son. The tension in their scenes came from a real-life dynamic: Nassar deliberately refused to rehearse with Jagan before takes, forcing him to react genuinely on camera. Jagan admitted this made him nervous — and that nervousness became the character.
• During the shoot of Endrendrum Punnagai (2013), Nassar and Jagan shared a hotel room for three weeks because the production budget was tight. They spent nights rewriting each other's dialogue for the next day's scenes — none of those rewrites made it into the final cut.
• Devi 2 (2019) was the only hit in their six-film collaboration. Its success directly led to Nassar recommending Jagan for a supporting role in a major 2021 web series — a role that became Jagan's biggest career break outside of films.
• Jagan once told a behind-the-scenes interviewer: 'Nassar sir doesn't act with you. He acts at you. I had to learn to dodge his energy or get swallowed by it.'
• In Savaale Samaali (2015), they played father and son for the first time. Nassar insisted on doing all his scenes with Jagan in one continuous take — no cuts. This forced Jagan to match his timing beat for beat, a technique he later used in his own directorial debut.
