• Nassar and Anandaraj first shared screen space in Desiya Geetham (1998) because director T. Rajendar wanted two actors who could play rival village chieftains with real physical presence. Neither had worked together before, and Rajendar deliberately cast them against type — Nassar as the calm patriarch, Anandaraj as the hot-headed one — to create tension without dialogue.
• In Arasatchi (2004), Nassar and Anandaraj played brothers on opposite sides of a family feud. The key scene — where they face off in a courtroom — was shot in one take because both actors refused to break character. Anandaraj later said Nassar's stillness forced him to dial down his usual loud style, making their confrontation feel real.
• Their pairing in Pokkiri (2007) as police officer (Nassar) and gangster (Anandaraj) directly inspired the casting of the 2010 Telugu remake of the same film. The Telugu director specifically asked for two actors with the same body type contrast — one lean and authoritative, one bulky and menacing — to replicate the visual dynamic Nassar and Anandaraj created.
• On the sets of Perarasu (2006), Nassar and Anandaraj developed a running joke: every morning, they'd bet ₹100 on who could finish their lunch first. Anandaraj usually won because he ate faster, but Nassar once tricked him by ordering a smaller portion. The crew still remembers the laughter when Nassar collected his ₹100.
