• Ali was the one who pushed for Sayaji Shinde to be cast in 'Veede' (2003). The director wanted a different actor for the villain role, but Ali insisted Sayaji would bring the right menace. That film started their 8-film run.
• In 'Solo' (2011), Sayaji Shinde and Ali played off each other's timing like a comedy duo. Sayaji would deliver his lines dead serious, and Ali would break the tension with a punchline right after. They never rehearsed those scenes — they just fed off each other on set.
• Their pairing in 'Shirdi Sai' (2012) — where Sayaji played the title role and Ali played a devotee — became a template for devotional films in Telugu. After that, at least three smaller-budget Sai bhakti films tried to copy their on-screen dynamic.
