• Sathyaraj was a struggling villain when Rajasekhar was already a star. Director Rajasekhar (no relation) cast them together in Kaakki Sattai (1985) specifically to pit Rajasekhar's clean-cut hero image against Sathyaraj's raw, menacing energy. The gamble worked — the film became a hit and launched Sathyaraj into mainstream villain roles.
• In Vikram (1986), Sathyaraj played the villain to Rajasekhar's hero. But here's the twist: Sathyaraj's character was written as a silent, brooding antagonist. Rajasekhar suggested adding a few lines of dialogue for Sathyaraj during a key confrontation scene. That improvisation became the most replayed moment of the film.
