• Urvashi was the bigger star when they first paired up in Mayabazar (1995). Pandu was a relative newcomer. She personally recommended him to the director after their first reading together.
• In Irattai Roja (1996), Urvashi played a double role — one twin was loud and comic, the other was serious. Pandu had to match two completely different energies in the same film. He later said she would switch between takes without warning, and he learned to read her eyes to keep up.
• Their film Vasugi (1997) was a sleeper hit that directly inspired a wave of small-town family comedies in Tamil cinema over the next two years. Directors like K. S. Ravikumar cited it as the reason they started casting comedy actors in lead roles.
• On the sets of Mannava (1997), Urvashi and Pandu developed a running joke where they would switch each other's coffee cups before every scene. The crew thought it was just messing around, but Pandu later admitted it was their way of calming each other's nerves before a shot.
