• Their first film together, Elaan (1994), was a flop. But Akshay and Lara didn't meet on set — they shot separately. They only properly worked together nine years later in Andaaz (2003), which became a hit and finally kicked off their pairing.
• In Bhagam Bhag (2006), Akshay and Lara's comic timing clicked because they played off each other's energy — Akshay went broad and loud, while Lara stayed deadpan and sharp. That contrast made their bickering scenes the funniest in the film.
