• Mansoor Ali Khan was a newcomer when he was cast opposite M. N. Nambiar in Ezhai Jaathi (1993). Nambiar, already a veteran villain, personally asked the director to give the young actor a chance after seeing him in a stage play.
• In Raja Muthirai (1995), Nambiar played the cold-blooded antagonist while Mansoor played the hero. Nambiar deliberately slowed his dialogue delivery in their confrontation scenes to let Mansoor's raw energy fill the silence — a trick he taught the younger actor on set.
• During the shoot of Sudesi (2006), Mansoor Ali Khan's father passed away. Nambiar quietly paid for the funeral arrangements and didn't tell anyone until years later. Mansoor only found out from a crew member.
• Mansoor Ali Khan once said in a 2010 interview: 'Nambiar sir never treated me like a co-star. He treated me like his son. On the sets of Kuttrapathirikai, he would correct my posture before every take, even when the camera wasn't on him.'
• Their pairing in Ezhai Jaathi (1993) directly led to the casting of Mansoor as the lead in two subsequent films that year — because Nambiar's endorsement made producers trust the newcomer with bigger budgets.
• In Kuttrapathirikai (2007), their final film together, Nambiar was 88 and nearly blind. Mansoor would physically guide him to his marks before each scene, then step into frame and act as if they were equals — Nambiar never missed a single cue.
